ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS CHECKLIST
1. Essay (Application Section 2): In a separate document, please write an essay between 500 and 800 words.
Topic: Describe how your academic achievements, community service, and personal growth reflect your commitment to being a well-rounded student and a responsible leader. Explain how receiving this scholarship would enable you to continue to contribute meaningfully to your community and exemplify good citizenship.
Note: Use of Artificial Intelligence to write your essay will disqualify your application.
2. Official Transcripts (Application Section 2): Provide official transcripts of your most current academic year as issued by the educational institution.
3. Proof of Community Service (Application Sections 3 or 4): Provide a letter documenting at least 20 hours of community service that corresponds to the current application year including Summer 2025. If no letter is available you may fill out Section 4 in the application.
Community service is any unpaid work performed for the betterment of the applicant’s community. Examples of acceptable community service are: ALCC, school, food bank, nonprofit organizations, charity organizations, etc.
NOTE: Unpaid work, such as internships, working for parents’ family business or friends’ offices are NOT considered community service.
